Membership Levels
Individual
-
Dues $25 / yr
-
Open to all persons 18 years of age and older
-
Must be in good standing with the AKC, and understand and be committed to the purpose of the club.

Voting member, can serve as committee member or chairperson, can run for club officer and board member positions.

Full benefits of OKC membership are awarded on a continuous basis following one full consecutive calendar year of being a member in good standing, and continue every year after with prompt payment of dues in full and record of Individual's activities to fulfill "good standing" requirements.

Junior

Dues $10 / yr
-
Open to all persons between the ages of nine (9) to eighteen (18) years of age who otherwise meet the requirements for active membership.

May not vote nor hold office and do not have building use privileges.

Juniors do receive class discounts.

Juniors may serve on committees and volunteer at events with parent/guardian approval.
-
This low-cost membership option is great for young people looking to become a junior handler, pursue performance sports, learn more about dog training, and add volunteer and organizational experience to a resume and college applications.

Senior

Dues $10 / yr
-
Open to all persons over 60 years of age who otherwise meet the requirements for active individual membership.

Must be in good standing with the AKC, and understand and be committed to the purpose of the club.

Associate

Dues $15 / yr
-
Open to all individuals eighteen (18) years and older.

May not vote in elections or hold office and do not have building use privileges.

Associates may serve on committees and volunteer at club events.

A great option for people who want to support the club's efforts, but can't make regular meetings or volunteer at events.

Family
-
Dues $30 / yr
-
Open to all persons eighteen (18) and older and their children who reside together in the same household (maximum of 2 adults).
-
A family membership shall have a maximum of two (2) votes, and can hold office provided the adult members are "members in good standing".
-
Families in good standing receive all membership benefits.
-
Children may serve on committees and volunteer at events with parental permission and supervision for children under 16.
Being "In Good Standing"
-
Attend at least four (4) meetings annually, with no more than 2 unexcused absences.

Email Membership Secretary before meeting to request an excused absence.

Volunteer for at least one shift at two or more OKC events including:

Act as a responsible and courteous pet owner​, making sure your animal's health, behavioral, and social needs are met, serving as a good example of a responsible dog owner to our local communities.

Complete Membership Application - use our easy online submission below, or download, print either the pdf or doc version to bring to your first meeting.

Attend TWO (2) meetings.

Your membership application will be read aloud at your first meeting, and you will be asked to submit your application fee, which becomes your first year's dues. The dues money is held until the next meeting you attend.

At second meeting, your application is read aloud again, and your request to join the club is put to a vote.

If you are voted into the club, your dues will be deposited at this time. Should you chose not to join, or be declined membership, your dues will be returned to you in full.
