Put Your Teamwork to the Test

You’ve practiced the contacts, worked the weave poles, built your handling skills, and learned to navigate a course together. An AKC Agility Trial is where you and your dog get to put all that teamwork into action.

Olean Kennel Club currently hosts two AKC Agility Trials each year, welcoming agility teams from throughout the region:

• Summer Agility Trial at Premier Dog Sports in Lancaster, New York

• Winter Agility Trial at Countryside Agility in Erie, Pennsylvania

Whether you’re stepping to the line for the first time, chasing your next qualifying score, or working toward a new title, our trials are a chance to enjoy the sport, challenge your skills, and spend a weekend with a community of people who love agility as much as you do.

New to Agility Trials?

If you train agility but haven’t competed yet, getting started may be easier than you think.

Before each trial, Olean Kennel Club publishes a premium list with everything you need to know about that event, including the classes being offered, entry fees, trial schedule, entry deadlines, eligibility information, rules, and instructions for submitting your entry.

Think of the premium as your guide to the entire trial.

Once entries open, choose the classes you and your dog are eligible to enter, submit your entry according to the instructions in the premium, and get ready to run! We generally do provide online and mail-in entry methods for our agility trials.

As the trial approaches, exhibitors receive additional information about the event, including scheduling details and other important trial-day information.

Come Run With Us

Agility trials are about more than ribbons and qualifying scores. They’re an opportunity to see how far you and your dog have come, tackle new challenges together, cheer on other teams, and enjoy the energy of a weekend built around the sport.

Some runs will be beautiful. Some will be beautifully chaotic. Every trip into the ring is another chance to learn something about your dog, your handling, and the partnership you’ve built together. But most importantly its a chance to build wonderful memories with your best furry friend!
